Mode of Practice

The master’s degree course "Rural Sociology and Development Management" was devised and set up in cooperation with the University Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo. We were active in this process in an advisory capacity, which ranged from participation in the overall course design to the schooling of training personnel and implementation of practice-oriented research.

In operation since the spring of 2008, the  format of the degree course allows students to both work and study. Attendance is mandatory.

Our students come from different governmental and non-governmental institutions concerned with the planning, conducting and assessment of programmes and projects in rural areas. About 100 students have passed through the programme so far. The courses are held in Portuguese.
